On Friday, September 26th, we celebrated Ayudha Pooja at our office. The teams from Tekvocation and Edcite Mysore came together to observe this important tradition of the Nada Habba Dasara.

The celebration included a Puja and prayers, sweet distributions, and fun games for everyone. These simple activities served as a moment of gratitude for the tools we use and the people behind our work. For Tekvocation, local festivals like Dasara are a vital ground to celebrate, cherish our culture, and find meaningful ways to engage as a team.

"Vinmayi", Tekvocation’s Women’s Day event, was a vibrant tribute to women’s strength, silent grit, and the often-unsung contributions that shape our homes, workplaces, and the world. This year’s celebration aimed to inspire everyone by reaffirming why Women’s Day matters.

The event opened with hosts Ashwija and Manoj welcoming the audience and spotlighting two powerful words: choice and influence—a reminder that our futures are shaped as much by the paths we take as by those we dare to create.

Ms. Diana Hombal, spoke on the importance of empowering women across all spheres and creating spaces where they can lead, speak up, and thrive.

A key highlight was the video creation competition, where participants showcased stories and ideas around women empowerment. Some entries were bold, some emotional, and a few brought a lump to the throat. Winners and runners-up were celebrated with well-deserved applause.

Then came a delicious twist—the "Cooking Without Fire" challenge. The unique feature of this challenge was that The men of Tekvocation and Edcite swapped keyboards for chopping boards to prepare dishes for the women. A thoughtful gesture—served with a side of humor and humility. Spoiler: the food was good, and the laughter even better.

The Edcite Mysore team combined the Fun Friday activities to Vinmay event and kept the momentum alive with engaging activities that strengthened the spirit of community. A lively group photo captured more than just smiles—it preserved a shared moment of joy and connection.

As the event drew to a close, the hosts reflected on what Women’s Day truly signifies: celebration, with a call to action. Empowerment is an ongoing journey—driven by inclusion, recognition, and empathy.

Tekvocation celebrated Corporate Valentine's Day. This special day wasn’t just about Valentine’s in the traditional sense—it was about fostering bonds, spreading kindness, and celebrating the warmth of togetherness in the workplace. The event began the moment employees arrived, greeted with a fresh flower. Soon after, colleagues exchanged chocolates, a simple yet meaningful gesture that represented camaraderie, making the office atmosphere delightful.

As the afternoon unfolded, the main event kicked off with a warm welcome from Niharika and Ahmed. Diana Hombal shared a few words on the tradition of Valentine’s Day celebration at Tekvocation and the idea of stepping away from work mode for an engaging exchange of laughter before returning to tasks with renewed energy.

The event featured activities that had everyone participating with enthusiasm. From the Baby Photo Guessing Game, where colleagues tried to match adorable baby pictures with their grown-up versions, to the Hook Step Challenge, which had everyone dancing with laughter and energy.

Adding to the fun, a lighthearted award ceremony was held to recognize those who bring constant energy and joy to the workplace. Titles such as "Bindaz Fashion Bazz" and "Macho Man" were awarded, celebrating individuals who make the office lively and spirited.

On December 18, 2024, Tekvocation hosted its 'Star of Bethlehem' Christmas celebration at their Mysore office, blending joy, unity, and the festive spirit into a memorable evening. Events like these reflect Tekvocation's vibrant organizational culture, which values community and creating lasting connections among its members.

The celebration opened with a warm welcome that set the tone for the evening, emphasizing themes of love, joy, and togetherness. The classic “Jingle Bells” brought everyone into the holiday spirit as a lively team performance transformed into a heartfelt singalong, with the room echoing in unity.

Diana and Francis shared inspiring words about the true meaning of Christmas, encouraging everyone to embrace the season’s spirit of giving and humanity's greatest virtues.. Their thoughtful messages added depth and warmth to the celebration. The festivities continued with Francis distributing gifts to the whole team adding a personal touch of joy to the event.

Musical highlights included Manoj Kumar N R’s enchanting flute performance, which created a serene and reflective moment, and a moving group song led by Manoj N, Brunda, Disha, Deepika and Bhoomika that filled the room with festive harmony. A carol performance by guest singers was a standout moment, captivating the audience with flawless melodies and boundless energy, truly embodying the joy of Christmas.

The Secret Santa gift exchange brought laughter and surprises, while the lively Couples Musical Chair game led by Prabhu, kept the room buzzing with excitement. These activities energized everyone with fun and games, bringing out their competitive spirit.

The event was meticulously organized by Prabhu, whose yearly efforts in bringing the Christmas spirit to life continue to impress. Each year, Prabhu introduces fresh ideas and elements that make the celebrations unique. He was equally supported by Manoj N of Tekvocation, whose creative efforts ensured the event’s smooth execution.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of everyone involved. As attendees departed, the festive spirit lingered, leaving behind cherished memories and strengthened bonds.

On November 19, 2024, we celebrated the 68th Kannada Rajyotsava with vibrant enthusiasm and deep cultural pride. The program began with Kavya delivering a warm and heartfelt introduction, setting the tone for the day’s events. The celebration was a wonderful mix of patriotism, cultural performances, and engaging activities that truly captured the essence of Kannada heritage.

Highlights of the Program

The event commenced with the entire gathering singing the melodious and soul-stirring Kannada Naada Geethe. This unified rendition celebrated the state's rich cultural history and brought everyone together in harmony.

Following this, a group of girls performed a melodious song that captivated the audience. Kavya then invited Diana Hombal to share her thoughts on this auspicious occasion.

Diana began her speech by congratulating everyone on the 68th Kannada Rajyotsava. She emphasized the importance of preserving our linguistic and cultural roots, drawing attention to the Right to Act Article, which stresses the need to promote education in one's mother tongue. She also mentioned the initiatives by UNESCO and UNICEF that support this cause. Diana concluded her speech by congratulating everyone once again.

Cultural Performances

The cultural program followed, showcasing incredible talent and creativity. Manoj and Brundha kicked off the performances, with Manoj mesmerizing the audience with his flute and Brundha enchanting them with her melodious singing.

Next, Disha performed a beautiful Bharatanatyam dance, leaving everyone in awe of her grace and skill. The cultural program concluded on a high note, with the audience thoroughly entertained and appreciative.

Innovation and Activities

After the cultural performances, Ranjan, Arun, and Chandrashekhar presented their Innovation Hub project —a website called Vibe Check. Their group, representing the Innovation Hub, demonstrated their creative and technical skills. Diana Hombal inaugurated the Vibe Check website, marking a proud moment for the team.

The activities segment began with all participants being grouped together under different river names, symbolizing unity and diversity. The following activities were conducted:

Savigana - Organized by Disha, Chandrashekhar, and Ahmed, this activity brought an interactive and creative element to the celebration.
Tongue Twister Challenge - Led by Veda and Bhoomika, this activity sparked laughter and friendly competition among the participants.
Quiz - Conducted by Niharika and Ashwija, the quiz tested the participants’ knowledge in an engaging and fun manner.

The celebration came to an end with Kavya delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a success.
